Halloween ] [ when all the little ones come and play

What: Halloween!! Trick'or Treating and a Slumber Party!

Early when you rise, it feels like you've had the best night's sleep. You're well-rested and the air outside the window is crisp and showing more than just the signs of fall. Mostly, because the seasons are weird here. You should be used to that. The castle has opted to go simple for the holiday, providing only invitations to all to take the children of the castle Trick or Treating starting at three in the afternoon. There is the promise of a slumber party and time to exchange and enjoy candy. Residents are given bags of candy to hand out (though the castle suspects some might simply eat it themselves) and large Halloween themed bowls.

Costumes are hung, ready to be worn, for all the little boys and girls. With spider rings around their toothbrushes and glow in the dark vampire teeth in their water glass, the castle is glad that the young ones are so excited for the holiday. They all get dressed, proudly displaying their costume, and head down to meet the rest of the children where they hope to have a memorable Halloween for many years to come.

Oh, of course! How does it work?

Mm. [She pauses, picking it up and handing it to the other girl.]

You put these in your ears and then you put this on the other person and it makes it louder.

[psych0p0mps]

Oh. Like this? [She gets it in her ears okay, but what precisely is a stethoscope supposed to make louder? She's never heard of a "steth" before. So she puts the receiver on the nearest part of Virginia, which happens to be her forehead.]

[littlequitter]

[Virginia laughs.]

No. Here. [She moves it to her chest and tries to slide it where she guesses her heart should be beating.]
