Today is Molotov's birthday and she's turning 40 (but don't tell anybody).

Brock had left the cabin doors unlocked so the party guests could filter in and hide before he arrived with Molotov. Or they could just stand around and not hide; Brock didn't really care. As long as people actually showed up, he was cool with whatever.

His cabin was decorated in pretty standard birthday party fare, with streamers hanging from the ceiling and balloons scattered throughout. There was also a table with snacks and a bunch of dumb party hats on it. And there was a lot of alcohol.

Like, a lot of it.

Because what kind of birthday doesn't have an irresponsible amount of booze?

[Molotov is in the process of an enormous eyeroll when she walks into the cabin.]

[Hellboy can't really properly hide in a building that is basically one giant room, so he's just standing there and is probably the first one to... yell... surprise? Are they really yelling surprise he doesn't even know

[Molotov just smiles and waves at him, after her initial shock at everyone else.]

[He also has a party hat on, did I mention that? Because he does.

Smiling back, he strolls over to her after a bit, once she's done mingling with everyone else.]

Did you know we were doing this?

[molotov]

[Oh wow, that doesn't look stupid as shit, Red.]

Nyet, not at all!

[hellshaped]

[DON'T YOU DARE JUDGE HIM.]

I thought maybe you were the kind of person who hated surprises, but I'm glad nobody told you anyway.

[molotov]

I do hate them. I almost shot all of you. But it worked out fine.

[assassino]

[And Ezio grins and steps out from behind the curtain, lifting his wine glass.

But he's not yelling, you don't do that shit indoors.]

Surprise!

[molotov]

[Molotov is startled, at first. There's a very brief moment where she reaches for a weapon. But then she snaps out of that, and beams and laughs, moving over to Ezio.]

They have surprise parties in your time, kroshka?

[assassino]

Not in cabins, but of course!

[Have one of those Italian kisses on the cheek to say hello. In front of Brock, because who gives a fuck.]

[Molotov doesn't mind. Brock can go be busy cutting cake or something.]

Tell me Samson has been civil and tolerable. To everyone.

[He smiles.]

As good as one could hope. Cento di questi giorni, Molotov.

Grazie, Ezio. [She kisses him on the cheek now, beaming. She's just so happy!] Make sure to drink as much as you can, a Russian's birthday is meaningless unless everyone is blacked out.

[ Once everyone else jumps out of their hiding places, Lucrezia hops away from the couch too and comes bounding toward Molotov for a big bear hug! ]

[molotov]

[Yes, okay, bear hug. But only for Lucrezia, Molotov is touchy about personal space.]

Look at you. Have you ever been to a party like this before, Lusha?

[heloise]

[ She's forgiving enough with the hug, pulling back after a moment. ]

Never one as exciting. And I brought you a gift!

[molotov]

A gift? You did not have to do that.

[heloise]

I want to.

[ She pulls out an iron dagger wrapped in a velvet pocket and offers it to her. ]

Brock helped me choose.

[molotov]

[Molotov accepts the gift and examines it, smiling.]

Oh, Lucrezia, it is lovely.

[wagers]

[So like, after all the people shout "SUPRISE" and all that, Vriska is shoving her way through the crowd and offering her gift to Molotov. It's a red box with a blue bow! HOW NICE.]

So, yeah. Here. Because you've actually been a pretty decent person to me and all.

[molotov]

[Molotov takes that gift, but blinks a little, surprised.]

Thank you, Vriska. You did not have to get me a gift.

[wagers]

[Surprisingly, Molotov is one of the only people Vriska can even be a little less jerkish toward, if only because she seemed like such a Mature Adult compared to, well, everyone else ever.]

I don't know! I gave it a shot!

[molotov]

Well, thank you. Do you... want me to open it now?
