[Martel actually started holding onto Zelos loosely around the waist an hour or so ago, after they went over a hilly patch of ground. They'd been riding for a few hours, she thinks, from the way the sun has been moving. She can't tell, of course. And she can't tell where they are, either. She's never been out this far from the Castle, really. That doesn't mean she's not enjoying, it, though.]

So, have you been to this place before? Wanderer's Yard.

That is true... [She pauses, not quite sure where she is going with this, but.] You know, I have a friend, and when I told him I was an angel he said someone once told him that angels only dream of being human.

[wilder]

[a slight pause; he's so glad his back is turned to Martel, just saying]

Really, huh.

[heal_theworld]

I told him I wouldn't know, because I'm a half-elf. I'm technically not even human to begin with. Not in a lot of people's eyes. [Then she laughs.] And then he turns around and tells me my wings are beautiful. I think he is giving seriously mixed messages.

[wilder]

[He chuckles]

Did you tell him about the fiance? He might be trying to flirt.

[heal_theworld]

Yes, I told him. I think he's just naturally like that. [She giggles.] Supposedly his nickname is 'Puppy'.

[wilder]

Heh, sounds fitting. Is he coming on the expedition?

[heal_theworld]

Yes, he is. After I told him about it. We could use more fighters, and I'd like to see someone pick a fight with him and see him fight with that hunk of metal he calls a sword.

[wilder]

Hunk of metal he calls a sword?

[heal_theworld]

The Buster Sword. It represents honor and dreams... I think. [Zack explained it so much better.] It also happens to be a large broadsword that is probably as long as I am tall.

[wilder]

Seriously?!

How in the world do you swing something like that?!

[heal_theworld]

I don't even know. The one time I saw him use it I wasn't exactly paying as much attention as I should have. Though he did tells me he uses the blunt edge, so he doesn't dull it.

[wilder]

[a snort] A sword of that size must weigh a ton, it doesn't need a sharp edge to kill something.

[heal_theworld]

I suppose just dropping it on a monster would do, wouldn't it? [She's laughing at that thought.]

[wilder]

[he laughs too] Definitely!

I'll stick with short swords, I think. Much more elegant!

[heal_theworld]

And of course you have to be elegant.

[wilder]

Of course! I always gotta look good, don't I?

[heal_theworld]

Yes, you have to match your outfit. And spirits know it's particularly hard to match pink. [She's poking fun at him again.]

[wilder]

[He laughs]

Tell me about it! But ahhh, someone has to do it! Too many people rely on drab easy colors like black! Bleh!

[heal_theworld]

Well, I have to admit I have never fallen into that trap of wearing black. Though I have heard I am very green.

[wilder]

Yeah but that's like your thing! Your signature! The green lady!

[heal_theworld]

The green lady, huh? Sounds much too regal to be what I'm called.

[wilder]

Ahaha, I dunno. I think it has a nice, suitable ring to it. Lady Martel of the Green.

[heal_theworld]

[She tilts her head.] You know, I still don't like it when people call me a 'lady'.

[wilder]

Because you don't feel like you are one?

[heal_theworld]

Well, I'm not. And also, it reminds me of the fact that most people from Aselia call me that because they see me as a goddess.
