So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!

The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!

All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

"No?" He tilted his head to the side, "Why not? Did you change your mind?"

He was almost slightly disappointed by the fact, though little was he aware that this meant he avoided potential food poisoning.

[ She watches with some amused curiosity, when she had dunked her dress into the water with much less care. It will be dry again or she can easily ask for a new one from the Castle. ]

It feels happy to be around those who are.

He would only shrug, ignoring Weiss while the puppy got comfortable and curled up beside Mitsuru, tail still wagging.

"I guess it's a decent change of pace. I doubt I'm gonna be stayin' down here much longer." He shot a bit of a scowl at Weiss, "Assuming he lets me out of here."

"I was busy. Eheh-heh... Let's just get some food" Chie shyly walked to the table to get herself a new plate to put her food in.

"I see" Weiss hoped on Mitsuru's bare lap and curled up on it. Mitsuru didn't mind and just continued to pet him. He looks so relaxed. Mitsuru was just a little disappointed that she wouldn't have company she's more familiar with than anyone else in this party. But hey, she wouldn't force him even if she could.

"You're wearing that jacket in this heat?"

"I still have a suit kinda like that one! Maybe I'll wear it next time."

Spoiler alert, it's also a skimpy bikini. But it has frills!

She gives Utena a thoughtful once-over look and smirks, "Actually, I bet it'd look great on you, too..."

Utena's one-piece is cute, but she has a great figure! She should show it off a bit sometimes!

"Yeah, a little bit! It's a waste coming to a summer party without a swimsuit, right?"

... Also a waste coming to a summer party without swimming, but that's not the way she phrased it. Goes to show what her priorities are today.

"How about you?" She dips a strawberry in the chocolate fountain and takes a bite. "Been swimming at all? Playing volleyball? There's lots of stuff to do!"

It was almost as if that dog was working against him. He'd forgotten that this party was happening, and he had to get Weiss out of the room for a little while daily, and given how excitable Weiss got around other people he should have known it was going to be hard to get back to his room. And now that the puppy's found a comfortable spot on Mitsuru, he doubts the thing's gonna be moving anytime soon.

Pixy gives a quiet, irritated sigh before he sits down in an empty chair beside her, glancing at his jacket when Mitsuru drew attention to it.

"I wasn't exactly expecting to be out here this long." And wearing it was a force of habit, really. "It's not that bad out here, anyway."

[Gideon can be finicky when he has the luxury. :C He smiles at her answer--it seems rather diplomatic to his ear--and nods.]

I'm given to understand that being able to relax during a party one's hosting is a good sign.

To the contrary, it's pleasant, he agrees, quietly amused. Are you enjoying yourself?

What, Ohjiro, you don't like cleavage in your face or girl butt right up against you? Rude!

Rise's okay with that, though. Not as fun as flustering Tsuna, but she can tell he's noticing the attention. So she actually backs off a bit... or at least stops pressing forward. She's still a scantily-clad girl sharing a small pool chair with the boy.

"Yeah, sometimes we get sent places. Last time, I was on a cruise ship..."

She doesn't sound as excited about that as the words themselves would suggest. Mostly because while she was relaxing on the cruise, some of her friends were much less fortunate...

"Very well. Do whatever you feel is comfortable" Mitsuru took a sip of her piña colada while her other hand continued to pet Weiss.

Hey, he was being polite and deciding to share his chair with you! Oh my god, idols these days.

He wasn't one to get flustered or uncomfortable with any advancements. Being famous in the Angelic Layer world brought about its own kinds of crazy fans, after all.

He notices her lack of excitement, but he would assume it's just from her having been on cruises before. Anyone else would get excited over that sort of thing.

"A cruise ship? That doesn't sound so bad."

Strangely, the idea of a 'world change' didn't sound so odd anymore, given that he got plucked from his home and dropped off in a magic castle, but a look of concern comes to his face immediately when she mentions that it was 'dangerous'.

"The appearance of the castle is a façade?"

"Sort of," she says, talking as she's treading water. "I've been here for a few months already, so I'm not that new. But every time I think I've gotten used to things around here, the castle finds another to surprise me."

He had every intention to- and that would have been lounging in his room and only coming out if he had to... but apparently adopting Weiss three months ago really worked against him.

His sigh was audible this time as he put his legs up on the chair and leaned back, crossing his arms behind his head.

"Or I at least have to do what's closest to that, given that Weiss isn't going to be letting me leave."

Ohjiro was kind of puzzled by the way she was talking, but he decided it was best not to question it. The way she was talking seemed awfully weird for her just 'being too busy' to do any cooking.

He'll take a plate of his own and look over what food was set out.

"Wow, there's quite the selection, isn't there?"

"There's food and drinks if you're hungry. There is some of that Scotch you like in there"

"I'm not sure. I've been here for months and I still don't fully get the deal of this place is. I just know that from time to time, the castle takes us somewhere, and there's always something crazy that would happen. What sucks is that we don't always have our powers!"

[pint_sized_carnivore]

"Yep! There's even vegetables if you don't eat meat. But who doesn't?" She shrugs. But she got a couple of celery sticks and some ranch dressing. What? She's not entirely a carnivore!

He shrugged again, closing his eyes. "Maybe I'll get something later. I'd might as well get a drink at some point."

If anything, something alcoholic would at least help him cope.

"I'm guessin' you've been here all day?"

"Yeah, tell me about it" she chuckled because she is in the exact same page. "I woke up in the castle in March. So I'm still fairly new, you could say. But it's weird that I didn't bump into you. In that amount of time, we should have at least seen each other!"

[luxe_can_kill]

"Indeed I have. I cancelled my plans for the rest of the day. I intend on spending all my time today and tonight out her to rest and relax" Contrary to what Larry might think, she's actually pretty busy. Especially when she just got a new place in town.

That was kind of unnerving. The fact she said she was there for months was one thing, but now this place suddenly had a dangerous streak? And apparently had the ability to take away the abilities that other people had?

"Is there a pattern to this at all?"

[princeandwizard]

Ohjiro, for one, certainly wasn't a vegetarian, so meat wasn't off limits for him. He'll particularly be eyeing some kabobs over there; he may be half-wondering if they'll be as good as what Ogata could do.

"Barney-san really went all out with this."
