GRAND RELAUNCH BARBECUE
Who: EVERYONE
What: Awesomeness Committee BBQ party
When: Saturday, July 6
Where: Castle lawn and pool
So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!
The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!
All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

This felt like a good way to get adjusted around the people in Paradisa, certainly. It was weird not having his brother around though.

"Yo"

"Ah, hello again. Having fun, I'm sure?"

That day at the beach was a lot of fun, especially when they unexpectedly ran into Misaki and her friends. It was quite the night. Although this wasn't quite the same, it was still highly enjoyable.
He glances at the other soda before reaching over and taking it, "Since you're offering, thank you."
no subject
"Yeah, you said something about your older brother. You must be really close"
no subject
He briefly thought back to the time that they weren't very close at all, but he got rid of those thoughts with the memories of recent years. And learning just how aloof that brother of his was.
Ohjiro chuckled, "Of course, even though he's the older one... I'd say I'm probably the more mature one."

"Do you have any siblings, Chie-san?"

He quietly laughed, thinking about the mutual teasing he and Ichiro got into sometimes.
"They can be quite a bit of trouble..."

A bikini-clad Rise makes her way over to Ohjiro's chair, cutely leaning forward to get a little closer to eye level.
"Having fun?"
She asks with a perky smile and absolutely no shame about the view she's giving him.
no subject
He'll be determined to not appear like a pervert and choose to keep eye contact with Rise... and maybe glancing away occasionally.
"Quite a bit, actually. I'd say it looks like you're enjoying yourself as well."
Don't look down, Ohjiro. Don't look down.
no subject
Rise takes mercy on the poor boy and straightens up again... only to take advantage of what little available space there is and join him on the seat. Just on the edge, but still... she's scooting up pretty close to him. What is personal space and waiting for an invitation?
"You're lucky, you know! First thing that happened after I got here was some crazy world change with fairies and talking caterpillars and stuff. A pool party is much better, isn't it?"
She gives him a wink. Probably flirting way more than she'd ever intend to follow through on. But it's fun... and it's been a long time since she's had a guy around her age to tease that wasn't Tsuna!
no subject
He may actually be scooting over a little to give Rise a little more room. It's only polite, after all. Though the mention of a 'world change' puts a puzzled look on his face.
"A 'world change'? We're not in a castle all of the time?"
no subject
Rise's okay with that, though. Not as fun as flustering Tsuna, but she can tell he's noticing the attention. So she actually backs off a bit... or at least stops pressing forward. She's still a scantily-clad girl sharing a small pool chair with the boy.
"Yeah, sometimes we get sent places. Last time, I was on a cruise ship..."
She doesn't sound as excited about that as the words themselves would suggest. Mostly because while she was relaxing on the cruise, some of her friends were much less fortunate...
no subject
He wasn't one to get flustered or uncomfortable with any advancements. Being famous in the Angelic Layer world brought about its own kinds of crazy fans, after all.
He notices her lack of excitement, but he would assume it's just from her having been on cruises before. Anyone else would get excited over that sort of thing.
"A cruise ship? That doesn't sound so bad."
no subject
"Oh, the cruise was fun! It's just... sometimes the castle sends different people to different places, and some of my friends were on the island with a bunch of dinosaurs..."
It's a little harder to enjoy a vacation when your friends are fighting for their lives, and all that...
no subject
"Did... you say 'dinosaurs'?"
no subject
"Yeah... that's not even the weirdest thing that's happened here..."
She pauses for a second...
"... Or the worst."
Oops, that was a depressing subject shift... at least there's a cute girl snuggled up to him?no subject
He'll notice her hesitance, and now the conversation has kind of a weight to it. While he was curious - and maybe a little concerned - over what she means by that exactly, he'll just give her a reassuring smile.
"Well... this doesn't seem like a good conversation for a party. We're here to have fun, aren't we?"
no subject
"Yeah. Sorry!"
She shifts around a bit to get more comfortable, and wishes up a glass of iced tea.
Because she's just too spoiled to get up and go get a drink somewhere else."So what kind of world are you from?"
He seems Japanese to her, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything here.
no subject
He looks away from her, glancing up at the ceiling. Hearing a question like that was so odd... it was something he would just have to get used to. Even if it would take a while.
"Well, it's certainly not quite like this..." He gets a sheepish look, "I never thought I'd have to explain Japan to anyone."
