For some silly reason, Kenzi actually thought she might be able to best Kitt at video games. KITT! Former computer? It was going to be a bloodbath.

She snorted a laugh. "Dude, we have to get you into tv. He's a character on a show. Genius, but is phobic of all forms of social communication, especially touch."

Deal with it, Kitt. You were her new cuddle toy, unless her attentions got captivated elsewhere. But, that wasn't likely to happen. Was it?

"Oh." No, Kitt had problems of his own, but he wasn't phobic to touch. Not being used to it and being phobic were two different things entirely. "That doesn't sound like me."

Ah, one could never be too sure of these things, and he would not interfere if they did. Roommate Etiquette, 101.

And because she could, she might have been a little suggestive with the way she ate her food, but that was just teasing. He was like this big ol' naive thing, and she liked having the chance to mess with him while she could.

Because he was smart enough that he'd pick up on what he could and couldn't do quickly enough. She wasn't looking forward to the day when he wouldn't fall for something or stopped reacting the way he did now, which was honestly.

"Good. So, what do you wanna do for the rest of the night, hmm?"

Teasing that left him more than a little breathless, making it hard to concentrate on eating his own sandwich. Eyes to the floor, that was enough of that.

There was still time. Every day he was understanding more about the personal aspects of humanity, but he wasn't there yet.

His sandwich was nearly gone; it surprised him that he'd eaten the entire thing. He raised his shoulders in an exaggerated shrug, popping the last bit of the sub into his mouth.

"I assume trying to get more rub time from you is a no-no, at least for tonight," she smirked as she said that, waggling her brows at him.

"But, if you want, we can play a few rounds and see if you can get any better?"

He shook his head at her with a shy smile, his cheeks pinkening in embarrassment again. They may have gotten past the awkwardness, but he still wouldn't forget this evening. "A safe assumption, I'm afraid."

"We're not going to wager this time, are we?"

"Not this time, no. Otherwise, I'd own your ass till the end of days," she said with a wink, stuffing the last of her sub in her mouth and getting up, dusting her hands.

That didn't sound like such a bad bet to make. "In that case, you're on." One of these days he'd win, and then she would be massaging him.

He might not be able to handle that. If he got that excited over a little butt rubbing, she could only imagine if she got to put her hands all over the rest of him.

Nope. No thinking like that. Nooooope.

A dilemma indeed. She may very well be correct. A simple neck massage, then. If he won.

IF. But they weren't making a bet this evening. "Fire it up. Are you thirsty?"

"Always. Why, you got something tasty you're hiding from me?" She went over and clicked the console on, throwing herself on the couch and getting comfy.

That gave him pause. Water? He had water? Or maybe coffee? "No. I spoke too soon, I guess. Did you want me to get something?"

"Chill, Kittmeister. Get over here and prepare to get your butt whupped."

Thank goodness she wasn't sending him out for alcohol again. He lingered long enough to get himself a glass of water, figuring he'd share if need be. All that was left was to get his butt whupped - or not.

"I've been practicing. It won't be so easy for you this time."

"A day of practice isn't going to make up for years of me being a master. My game-fu is strong." She waited for him to get ready, bouncing in her seat.

"I learn quickly. I pick things up." Yeah, she'd see. Maybe not this evening, but eventually. Sometime soon.

Spawn and go, coming out shooting!

She settled in for an evening of games and banter, pleased to see that he was picking up quickly. She still beat him, but not nearly as badly as she had before. He was learning. And she was actually looking forward to when he'd be a challenge. That might have been a flutter of anticipation in her stomach at the thought.

He was gloating, despite the fact that he'd lost, all happy smiles and jazz hands and pointing in her face, his prior embarrassment completely forgotten.

"Next time. Next time! Did you see that? I was so close!" Maybe not next time. "With a little more practice, you're going to be in a world of trouble, Kenzi!"

She stuck her tongue out at him playfully, rolling her eyes and swatting at his hands. "Nuh uh, carface. You will be mine from now until the end of days. Muahahaha."

"In your dreams. Just don't be a sore loser when it happens. You might want to start practicing how to concede." In her face! Although being hers didn't sound half bad, either.

"Me? A sore loser? Not likely." Only totally yes. She'd attack him physically if he beat her, and get him to submit that way.

So win/win either way, then. "You're saying you won't need a good bribe?"
