GRAND RELAUNCH BARBECUE
Who: EVERYONE
What: Awesomeness Committee BBQ party
When: Saturday, July 6
Where: Castle lawn and pool
So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!
The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!
All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

Re: LAWN AREA
He was meandering through the party, dressed in a dark maroon tunic laced with silver. Out of the corner of his eye, he spied Gideon and smiled to himself, making for the other magic user.
"Gideon! I did not think to see you about," he smiled at him, hand raised in greeting.

I do come outdoors during the day, he answers, a small smile playing at his mouth.
no subject
"You mean the sun does not burn you?" he teased in return, his own smile soft, glad that there was enough ease between them for these small jokes.

As much as one can. It's a bit hot, but at least I am not having to ride hard through the summer day.
[ He smiled and motioned over to the refreshments. ]
Have you had something to drink?
no subject
Have you?
no subject
[ He shook his head. ]
Shall I fetch us something then? Beer or something less alcoholic?

[ He cocked a brow. ]
Are you sure? It is quite hot, I do not want you to faint from the heat.
[His mouth quirked a bit. ]
Rest assured, I would catch you though.
no subject
Quite certain.
no subject
[ He nodded his head, retreating a moment and returning with water, sipping. ]
I suppose we should enjoy the heat while it lasts. It is hard to believe it is nearly the fall again in but a few moon turns and then winter.

Have one very happy Elizabeth jogging over, a little breathless from all the activity. She's never been to a pool party before, another thing marked off a list somewhere, and while she's not dressed for swimming it looks like she's at least dipped her legs in--her skirt is wet, and her shoes seem to have been lost somewhere.

Maselle, he writes in greeting, bowing his head slightly, then glances down at her bare feet. Have you been enjoying yourself?
no subject
"Have you felt the water yet?"

"Later? Why not now?"

I'm still trying to puzzle out these games, he writes out quickly, gesturing vaguely towards the people tossing balls towards another ball. Are you familiar with any of them?
no subject
"No, but we can figure them out together."

He gives the man a curt if not slightly embarrassed wave at having been (possibly) seen looking a bit foolish with fingers in his mouth, but he smiles all the same.
"Not interested in playing?"
no subject
The question requires him to sidle closer, keeping out of the way of the more active participants, so the other man can read what he writes. These games are entirely foreign to me. What of you?
no subject
"Volleyball and horseshoes I know," he said, point to each of the games in turn, "but I'm not sure what that is. Looks like some weird combination of bowling and shuffleboard."
