So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!

The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!

All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

THE BARBECUE

Beside the barbecue machines now hard at work is a hole in the ground filled with ice and every kind of booze. Beer Trench. The chocolate fountain is set up on another side, with every kind of food that can be dipped in chocolate. Help out with the cooking or help yourself to some meat and booze!

Barney's taken the first shift at the barbecue pit, before his helpers show up. One grill is covered in burgers and hot dogs, and the other has a round of chicken wings in a thick buffalo marinade going. He has a dark green apron on so he doesn't get sauce all over his outfit, but aside from that, you guys have the swankest grill chef in history, pretty much.

At the moment, he's dancing and twirling his grill tongs as he's waiting for the perfect flipping moment. When he catches sight of you, he smiles like he's been waiting for you - YES YOU! - to show up, and the party couldn't start till you walked in.

"Hey, there you are! What up?"

Chie takes a deep breath, inhaling the smell of cooking meat. That sure put a smile on her face and made her stomach growl.

"This day is already awesome!"

Martel has actually gravitated to the chocolate fountain, and is currently dipping in strawberries to eat. She has a bit of a sweet tooth and to be honest, not that much of an appetite.

She's enjoying herself so far, and is peering around, looking for people she knows.

A barbecue was certainly an interesting invention, one that Sunny had never before seen in action. She was fascinated to see how one might cook with it - even though it was inadvisable that she attempt it for herself.

She stepped closer, careful to keep her skirt out of the way of any of those flames as she watched.

This wasn't quite the sort of party he typically attended but he wasn't going to complain. A party was a party, after all. Besides, it was an excuse to be social while still keeping an eye on the residents as a whole.

He made a stop to get a drink... at the hole in the ground. Why is the alcohol in a hole in the ground? That's just not right. It's an insult to alcohol. But he wasn't about to pass up free alcohol just because it was sat in a hole. He crouched down and fished out a glass bottle of beer, opening it and taking a sip as he looked around.]

Jennifer made a beeline to the chocolate fountain as soon as she'd arrived at the party, taking the opportunity to dip some fruit in it. It was terribly unhealthy- but then again, wasn't that the point of a barbecue?

Blue, meanwhile, sniffed around the barbecue grills, hoping someone would give a cute sheepdog a scrap or two.

LAWN AREA

There are a few picnic rugs and large umbrellas set up for anyone who would rather take it easy and chill, but the real fun is happening over by the volleyball net, the Bocce area and the stakes still sadly devoid of horseshoes!

Chie is just eating and watching everyone play. She might join them play if someone invites her to. But right now she's just enjoying the food.

Having bypassed the food entirely (good thing he didn't investigate the purpose of a 'barbecue' too thoroughly before coming), Gideon is walking across the lawn, mildly curious about the games that have been set up. He's not familiar with any of them, least of all the one requiring a large net, but he wouldn't mind watching.

Volley ball? Oh yes! Hey it aint Grifball but it's still a competition and that is more or less what Texs thrives on. She's standing, full bodypower suit and all, at the net with a volleyball on her hip and her arm casually drapped against it to hold it in place.

[Crowley is chilling out here with a glass of wine. Where did he get it from? Who knows, but he seem content to relax in a chair, people watching]

The stakes won't be devoid of horseshoes much longer! Ohjiro had spent some time watching the players at the volleyball net before the horseshoes game caught his attention. Seeing no one around, he'll take it upon himself to pick up the shoes and start tossing them at the stakes. Maybe he'll lure someone over, who knows.

His accuracy with them is fairly good, and while a few missed, they were still rather close to getting around the stake.

Bilbo found himself watching what was going on and didn't know if he should have a go at the games. He might end up making a complete fool of himself like usual. He wanted to meet new people though and this looked like the best way for him to do it.

Nora laid claim to one of those picnic rugs pretty quickly. She had a plate full of delicious food nearby that she'd been picking at periodically but her main focus was the sketchbook currently propped on her knees. She may be dressed for the party but she looked more interested in sketching everyone else having fun than she is in having fun herself.

Bocce anyone?

Lemony showed up with Sunny, since she had expressed interest in learning more about barbecuing, but his interest lay more with the assortment of lawn games, as it had been quite some time since he had been able to play them in pleasant company.

Presently, he was looking over the bocce set, testing the heft of the jack-ball in one hand, and glancing around in hopes that someone would be interested enough to join him.

[Gary is sat on one of the panic rugs with a green cocktail in his hand. He also has a beer keg next to him...yeah he doesn't plan on moving anytime soon.

THE POOL

There are reclining seats set up by the pool as well as floating beds and every kind of inflatable toys thrown into the water for maximum funtime. Or go load up those soakers you got back in April while you're at it

Reclining seats are the best, Natasha found herself a prime chair spot, pulled out the sun screen and slipped on her shades. She hadn't wanted to event hink of pulling on a swim suit since she'd arrived, but who could say no to an event like this?

She'd be nosing out the food and drinks shortly but for now she was content as a cat in a sunbeam.

Ah, Mitsuru thought her vacation in the cruise ship was short, but this makes a fine sequel to that. She was just relaxing on the reclining seats with a drink on her hand. She's wearing a swimsuit, of course, and some designer sunglasses.

Lara couldn't refuse the offer of free food and a day to relax. God knows she needs that after everything. The music that's playing reminds her so much of the parties Sam dragged her to, and they're the kind of jams she listens to anyway.

She's been swimming from end to end of the pool, wearing a black and white swimsuit (minus the gear and guns, of course). After a few laps, she stayed at one end of the pool to take a break.

It must have been serendipitous, Roxy mentioning wanting to go to a barbecue and one happening the very next day. What was a little less serendipitous was how her best friend had already had a bikini picked out. It showed off...well, a bit more skin than Jane was comfortable with showing off. She's wrapped a white fluffy towel around herself and is sitting at the edge of the pool, letting her feet dangle in the water and content where she is.

PAPER LANTERNS

Once the sun dims and the noise quietens, a few ghosts will help give out paper lanterns and matches for any who would take it. You could write down the things you would wish away before letting the lanterns float into the sky or release them just so, unmarked.

If your matches aren't working for one reason or another, Barney slips up beside you and grins, pulling a gold Zippo from the pocket of his waistcoat.

MIDNIGHT STRIKES

[Rise wanted to stay at the party until it ended, but even idols have their limits! She didn't even last until midnight... she just fell asleep on one of the pool chairs as things were winding down.

About an hour later, anyone passing by wouldn't see a girl in a purple bikini and cover up tunic. Instead, she looks a little more like this... a wispy white outfit with plenty of frills, a white and pink wig that's sort of similar to her trademark twintails (with plastic gold rings around them!), fluffy white cat ears and big puffy tail, bold black mascara and subtler shades of bright pink blush and lipstick... something about her makeup even makes it look a teensy bit like a "cat smile" at the right angle...

She's even curled up in her chair a little bit, in an almost appropriately catlike position. Someone should probably wake her to check if she's drunk, or something...]
