So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!

The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!

All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

[She makes a bit of a face. Dear? He lied to her, but he did save her. More than once.]

[ She gives her the pen. ]

[She takes the pen.]

[She writes "Booker DeWitt" on the lantern. That should be enough. The man may not live in a tower, but he had things he wanted to escape, too.]

That sounds like marriage.

I don't think he'd be the type I'd like to marry.

[ She giggles. ]

No man is the type I would like to marry.

[How many marriages did she go through? She never thought to read more about the Borgia family, because she never thought she'd actually meet one of them. Such regrets.]

Are you sure? There are many men out in the world.

[ Just one, for now. ]

Marriage is the evil. Why should I allow anyone to own me?

[Elizabeth shrugs.]

I wouldn't see it as that. But I've never seen a real marriage, so perhaps I'm not one to say anything about it.

[Whatever her parents had wasn't a fairy tale, and Booker lost his wife, didn't he?]

Take lovers if you wish, but never marry if the choice is yours to make. But if you must, find a husband with soft and gentle hands.

I've only ever touched a few hands. [Ever. Booker's were rough when she pulled him along the beach, wrapped his injury, but never unkind towards her.

But if her own parents didn't want her, what man would?]

[ She turns to smile sadly at her. For what it's worth though, she takes off her glove and reaches for Elizabeth's hand. ]

Booker's?

[Elizabeth gives her the one without a thimble. Her hands are soft and smooth.]

His hands aren't soft, but he's never been ungentle with me. I don't think some people have a choice in the state of their hands.

[Hers should be red.]

[ She gives it a gentle squeeze. ]

Just gentle hands then.

[She squeezes back.]

In the appropriate situations.

Are harsh hands ever appropriate?

Sometimes. [She'll leave it at that. Not too long ago she would have said no, but things change.]

No, never.

[ But she takes a matchbox and gives it to Elizabeth anyway. ]

We'll have to agree to disagree.

[She lights a match, taking a moment to figure out how to light the lantern. Such a pretty thing to send up into the sky.]

[ She can live with that. She doesn't help Elizabeth with the lantern yet and only fiddling with the few she has to make sure her hands aren't ruining them. ]

There.

[She doesn't think a lantern will bring Booker, but she does miss him. She wonders if he'd like Paradisa.]

[ Lucrezia keeps quiet as the lantern floats away, trailing the rest that have gone much farther. ]

What will you say to him when he arrives?

"Welcome to Paradisa," I'd say, and then explain everything before he had too long to panic.

The wishes or the curses first?

Curses. He'd want the bad news, first.
