So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!

The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!

All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

Are harsh hands ever appropriate?

Sometimes. [She'll leave it at that. Not too long ago she would have said no, but things change.]

[ But she takes a matchbox and gives it to Elizabeth anyway. ]

[She lights a match, taking a moment to figure out how to light the lantern. Such a pretty thing to send up into the sky.]

[ She can live with that. She doesn't help Elizabeth with the lantern yet and only fiddling with the few she has to make sure her hands aren't ruining them. ]

There.

[She doesn't think a lantern will bring Booker, but she does miss him. She wonders if he'd like Paradisa.]

[ Lucrezia keeps quiet as the lantern floats away, trailing the rest that have gone much farther. ]

What will you say to him when he arrives?

[birdorcage]

"Welcome to Paradisa," I'd say, and then explain everything before he had too long to panic.

The wishes or the curses first?

Curses. He'd want the bad news, first.

[ She chuckles. ]

An optimist, then.

Hardly! He'd just want more time to think about it.

Rather than more time to think of the happy news?

I don't know if he'd be able to focus on that. I'd want him to see the good in this place, if he could.

Paris. You could both travel there.

And New York? That's where he's from.

New York? I have never heard of it. Yet. [ Anything's possible. ]

It's yet to be, in your time. It's a place in America.

Is it as lovely as your Paris?

I've never seen it myself, of course, but I doubt it.

Because your Paris is the prettiest?

The fashion is much better.
