So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!

The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!

All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

There's the yap of a puppy nearby as a familiar shiba inu puppy runs up beside the seat that Mitsuru happens to be in. Following it is a certain grumpy pilot, decked out in his usual attire with his flight jacket- it was obvious he wasn't here for the party. He was probably passing through to get Weiss out and about. For once, he wasn't with a crutch.

He still stood a few feet away, not noticing immediately it was Mitsuru that Weiss was yapping at.

"Get back here already, Weiss."

Mitsuru smiled when she noticed Weiss sit on the chair next to her. She extends her hand to pet the little puppy when she heard Larry's voice.

"Oh, hello" She nods to Larry before turning her attention to Weiss again.

Weiss barked happily at Mitsuru, wagging his tail when Mitsuru pet him.

Pixy was briefly perplexed when he noticed that it was Mitsuru of all people that Weiss went over to. He sighed and shook his head, walking over closer to her. "No wonder he came over here. Should'a known you'd be down here, Mitsuru."

What's that? It's true. He didn't call her 'Kirijo' for once!

And she noticed! She hid her gasp of surprise at the sudden change of name basis with a faint smile.

"This celebration is an offer that is difficult to refuse. I believe we all needed this"

He would only shrug, ignoring Weiss while the puppy got comfortable and curled up beside Mitsuru, tail still wagging.

"I guess it's a decent change of pace. I doubt I'm gonna be stayin' down here much longer." He shot a bit of a scowl at Weiss, "Assuming he lets me out of here."

"I see" Weiss hoped on Mitsuru's bare lap and curled up on it. Mitsuru didn't mind and just continued to pet him. He looks so relaxed. Mitsuru was just a little disappointed that she wouldn't have company she's more familiar with than anyone else in this party. But hey, she wouldn't force him even if she could.

"You're wearing that jacket in this heat?"

It was almost as if that dog was working against him. He'd forgotten that this party was happening, and he had to get Weiss out of the room for a little while daily, and given how excitable Weiss got around other people he should have known it was going to be hard to get back to his room. And now that the puppy's found a comfortable spot on Mitsuru, he doubts the thing's gonna be moving anytime soon.

Pixy gives a quiet, irritated sigh before he sits down in an empty chair beside her, glancing at his jacket when Mitsuru drew attention to it.

"I wasn't exactly expecting to be out here this long." And wearing it was a force of habit, really. "It's not that bad out here, anyway."

"Very well. Do whatever you feel is comfortable" Mitsuru took a sip of her piña colada while her other hand continued to pet Weiss.

He had every intention to- and that would have been lounging in his room and only coming out if he had to... but apparently adopting Weiss three months ago really worked against him.

His sigh was audible this time as he put his legs up on the chair and leaned back, crossing his arms behind his head.

"Or I at least have to do what's closest to that, given that Weiss isn't going to be letting me leave."

"There's food and drinks if you're hungry. There is some of that Scotch you like in there"

He shrugged again, closing his eyes. "Maybe I'll get something later. I'd might as well get a drink at some point."

If anything, something alcoholic would at least help him cope.

"I'm guessin' you've been here all day?"

"Indeed I have. I cancelled my plans for the rest of the day. I intend on spending all my time today and tonight out her to rest and relax" Contrary to what Larry might think, she's actually pretty busy. Especially when she just got a new place in town.

Pixy only opened one eye, giving a sideways glance at her and frowning slightly.

"You're makin' yourself sound rather popular. The hell are you doing to keep yourself so busy in this place?"

"Popular? Hardly" Mitsuru looked down at Weiss who suddenly lifted it's head up, as if detecting something strange. Mitsuru didn't make a big deal out of it, it must be normal for dogs, and since Weiss lowered his head back down she's just kept petting him lightly.

"I dedicate my time in training and studying. Even reacquainting myself with the piano"

"Hardly seems like anything that you'd have to 'cancel plans' for." Pixy closed his eye again and shrugged.

"But I guess whatever you do isn't any of my business. I've got my own problems to worry about."

And the castle sure did love piling problems on him before he'd even got any previous ones resolved.

Cancelling training is kind of a big deal, but she won't argue. They're here to relax. At least she is.

"I see" Mitsuru looked at Larry with concern, but she was snapped out of her trance when Weiss barked at something, a ball, that fell into the pool. The puppy immediately jumped out of Mitsuru's lap to get the ball.

"Weiss!" She sighed.

Pixy's eyes snapped open when he heard Weiss barking, and when the puppy leapt out after the ball, he shot up in his chair immediately. He was about to yell, but he was cut off by the 'Splash!' caused by Weiss jumping into the water.

He just sighed, putting a hand on his forehead.

"Dammit Weiss."

"I'm not sure, are pets normally allowed in pools?" Not in her rich circle, for sure.

He only muttered to himself as he leaned back, watching Weiss jump at the ball in attempt to subdue it, only for the ball to float away from him and make him splash underwater. That damn dog was a handful.

"Who cares if they weren't?" Pixy huffed, "Do you really think anyone here would listen if they weren't?"

"Fair enough. I suppose I'll go get him before he drowns" Mitsuru sets her drink aside and slowly stands up, taking off the towel over her shoulders to fully reveal that black swimsuit of hers. She dove into the pool and swam toward the puppy and grabbed the ball as well.

Not long after that, she gets out of the pool, dripping wet from head to toe. She flipping her hair. For once there's no hair covering her other eye! A rare sight! Ignore the icon.

He watched after her in mild annoyance; He knew Weiss was capable of swimming, so he didn't particularly understand why Mitsuru would assume that he was going to drown. Oh well. What she did wasn't exactly his concern. Normally he would have chastized her about it, but he'll cut her some slack this time.

He would wish up a spare towel and stand up, walking over to her when she got out of the pool and taking Weiss from her, wrapping the towel around the puppy.

"I'm starting to suspect that I need to get a leash for him."

"Why haven't you gotten one yet?" She gives him a sly grin while dried herself with her own towel. Seriously, not even handing her a towel. Not very gentlemanly.

She's looking at the wrong guy for 'gentlemanly'. He's a mercenary, dammit.

Pixy glances over at her before he carried Weiss back to the chair, sitting down and rubbing the dog's head with the towel. "He was fairly well behaved before. I guess I put too much confidence in him in thinking that he wouldn't need one."

Mitsuru sat on the side of her reclining chair, facing Larry and Weiss. "I see. Perhaps he just wishes to have more fun with his master? That could be why he's more active lately, to get you to play with him more?"

Weiss gave a bark after Mitsuru spoke, getting Pixy to look down at him. Pixy just sighed, continuing to dry off his now very damp companion.

"He's pickin' a real bad time to do it if that's the case, given that there's not much I can do on this leg for a while."

Says the guy who came out without a crutch for once. Which either speaks for recovery rate or Pixy's stubborness. More than likely the latter.
