So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!

The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!

All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

"Me neither!" Except Rise means she's been to things more like Japanese festivals and entertainment industry parties where she's mostly there to work, making connections and getting sponsors and such. The only "real" parties she's had have been small gatherings with her friends.

"It's kinda fun, though, isn't it?"

"It is! The fact that there's chocolate only makes it better." Martel has developed a bit of a sweet tooth, thanks to a certain hitman.

maybe Reborn would prefer her -without- one, though...?

"Chocolate makes everything better!" She says with a giggle and a wink.

Well, unless it's magical chocolate from the castle. But it's not a holiday today (that she knows of), and she doesn't feel compelled to kiss Martel or recite corny lines or anything, so they're probably safe.

"It does. I never used to be able to get it as much at home, but here a dear friend of mine once bought me a chocolate dessert and now I seem to have developed a sweet tooth."

...yes, she's blaming Reborn.

Whoops, looks like someone set off Rise's shipping radar. Because giving chocolate is totally (potentially) a romantic thing! ... If she's talking about a guy. Which Rise definitely suspects.

"Someone you're really close to?"

"You could say that, I suppose. We keep on a eye on each other, you see." It wasn't really romantic, more of a comfort thing after Yuan had left. Of course, Martel doesn't know Rise is thinking about that at all.

Aw, she makes it sound so cute! Rise can't help but give her an encouraging smile.

"I hope it all works out! Maybe I'll meet him someday?"

She's pretty sure she'd know if she already knew the guy (person?) in question! ... For one, they'd totally be bragging about it if they even had a chance with Martel...

"Maybe! He does seem to get around a lot and draw attention to himself." Which was a bit of an understatement, considering half the time he was a 2 foot talking baby with a pet shape-shifting chameleon who likes to cosplay.

She gives Martel an impish smirk, "I bet you both draw lots of attention..."

She doesn't even let that sink in. She just suddenly brightens up, raising a fist in the air in a show of support. "Anyway... I'll be rooting for you, Martel-san!!!"

"...rooting for what?" Rise didn't think...she was trying to seduce Reborn, did she? Martel turns back to the fountain, blushing.

She was certainly not! They were just friends and she had a fiance... Anyway, he probably wasn't even interested.

Rise hadn't expected such a cute reaction out of Martel! She'd have thought an adult woman like her would be more confident in announcing her love!

But the demure thing kind of suits her, too. Rise can't help but giggle. Of course, there's other people she wants to mingle with at the party, so she can leave this conversation on that note for now. With a friendly wave, she calls out one last time, "Good luck, Martel-chan~! ♥"
