So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!

The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!

All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

Volley ball? Oh yes! Hey it aint Grifball but it's still a competition and that is more or less what Texs thrives on. She's standing, full bodypower suit and all, at the net with a volleyball on her hip and her arm casually drapped against it to hold it in place.

"Come on ya babies....who's next?"

Volley ball? Oh hell yes. Utena grins when she sees the net and runs straight over, ready to hop in, when she sees Tex. She stops in her tracks, staring blankly at her in all her power armor glory, before she glances quickly at the other guests in their swimsuits and party clothes. Okay, so this is weird, even by Paradisa standards.

"Okay," she says, looking back at Tex, "Don't you think that's a bit much?"

"I left my sunblock at home." She quipped dryly back at the other woman. "This thing is temperature controled, I'm probably more comfortable than you are." And..well..there were reasons you didn't see Tex out of armor.

"You gonna play?"

Well, what's she supposed to say? No thanks, I don't think I can go toe-to-toe with a futuristic cyber soldier. No, that's dumb. She feels dumb just for thinking it. Instead, she stretches back, and gets in position.

"Ready whenever you are," she says, mustering as much confidence as she can.

Points to you! It takes balls to stand up to an unknown opponent, and to be sporting Tex will even power down a bit to keep things more fair. Her arms and legs immediately registered as heavier, her reaction time slowed, her movement and reflexes would not by hyperhuman anymore.

She took a moment to adjust, rolled her neck and then set the ball for a closed fisted bump over the net.

Thanks, Tex, you are a true sportswoman. However, Utena still has no idea what to expect, so she prepares for the figh-for the match of a lifetime. She watches the ball like a hawk, and once it goes over the net, she dashes forth and reaches up to spike it back.

Nice spike! Tex was going to have to move to get in and bump it back. With her reduced power output the ball sailed high and clear but not exactly across the beach. It was a good solid hit, but a normal one.

Wow, not bad! Normal or not, Utena has to push herself to catch it. She's just in time, though, and smacks the ball over the net. It doesn't have the same force as her past spike, but it's not a wimpy hit, either.
