So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!

The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!

All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

Bond had been intending on going for a swim but... was that an inflatable alligator? Pass.

Instead he choose a lounge chair off to the side where he could lounge comfortably in his black swim briefs and sunglasses. He may have looked like he was catching some rays but in reality he was keeping an eye on the crowd in case a certain psychopath decided to show up.

Have a barely legal girl check you out, Bond. This guy is more shredded than a julienne salad, man. And Chie the fitness junkie couldn't help but admire his athletic build.

Hey he wasn't going to judge. If she wanted to look she could look. He worked hard for this body, it was good to know it was appreciated... even if it was currently being appreciated by a teenage girl.

Chie was feeling a little embarrassed in looking at Bond like that. She's scared she might develop a thing for older men, even though she's not looking at him because she's interested in him in "that" way. She just wonders how long did it take to be that fit and how did he achieve it? Weights? Boxing?

With the world changes she's been in where she has no powers, she couldn't help but feel a little helpless. So she needs to be stronger if she wants to protect her friends.

She approached him to see if he's friendly enough to answer her silly questions. "Oh, uh... Hello. Heh heh..."

Bond took a moment to reply, lifting an eyebrow to look at the girl. Oh he hoped she wasn't one of those who had seen his movies and wanted a blasted autograph or something. He had just come here to relax and have a few drinks... and keep an eye out for Silva, of course.

"Hello."

"Hello... Sorry to bug you, but you look pretty strong! Were you a pro fighter?" Oh god this is awkward.

What? Was this girl serious? He lifted a single eyebrow at her. "No. Is there any particular reason why you would think that?"

"Oh, uh. Heh-heh. Y'see I'm trying to be a better fighter myself. I just thought you have some advice or something... Y'know"

[last_rat_standing]

This girl wants advice on what? Being a fighter? That all seems rather absurd, doesn't it? She doesn't even know who he is. "You're asking me for advice." That's... not really a question, Bond.

"Well, y-yeah!" Chie smiled anxiously, sitting on the chair right next to Bond. "What kind of fighting do you do, uh. Sir?"

Why was she sitting down? Why? What had he done to deserve this?! Ugh it'd be too rude to just leave and, well, she was pretty cute if a little young for his taste. He could put up with it for now.

He shifted slightly to look her over before replying, "Whatever suits the situation. What sort of fighting styles are you interested in?"

"Eh-heh... I'm really into kung-fu. I train myself in it, but I mostly just watch" A nervous laugh.

He lifted one eyebrow. Well now. This conversation might have just gotten interesting, "You train yourself? Have you had no formal training?"

Well wow, Lucrezia is no stranger to the male physique but she knows a damn good one when she see it. No need to stare now. It's a good thing that being the hostess gives her a good excuse to start a conversation even with strangers.Especially the hot ones.

"Might I fetch you a drink?"

Bond takes full advantage of his dark sunglasses as he lets his eyes slowly wander up the woman in front of him. Finally he smiles, reaching up and pulling them down slightly so she can see his blue eyes.

"Only if you fetch one for yourself as well and join me."

Fair enough, when he's already baring more than she does. She only needs to walk a little ways away to pick out two glasses of red wine, since he gave her the privilege of choosing for him a drink, before stepping back to take a seat by him and offer one to him. Also her choosing. He'll just have to trust her on this one.

He won't complain about wine, as long as it's a decent vintage. Alcohol is alcohol, after all, and he's quite accustomed to drinking whatever the situation calls for.

He takes the glass with a nod and a smile, "Thank you. And may I ask who I have the pleasure of drinking with this evening?"

The best vintage from Valencia, of course. She takes a sip of her own glass first, as if to show him that it is good. "It would be good manners for the gentleman to introduce himself first."

He simply smiles, "Bond. James Bond." Lifting the glass in a toast to her he takes a sip of his own, making an appropriately appreciative noise at the taste. He most certainly approves.

Lucrezia smiles at the response. It's always good to be appreciated, and her family has always taken much pride in being Spanish. "Lucrezia Borgia," she raises her glass in response. "A toast to our meeting, James?"

His eyebrows lift ever so slightly at the name. Really, now? Well that's certainly an interesting development. Not that he's about to look a gift horse in the mouth, of course.

His mouth quirks into a warmer smile as he nods, "To fortunate meetings." He takes a sip of the wine, watching her above the rim of his glass.

Lucrezia remembers of course, that other fortunate meeting by the hedge maze when the name "James" was mentioned, but it isn't such an unusual name, unlike hers, here.

"As the hostess, I am obliged to ask if you are enjoying yourself."

[last_rat_standing]

He smiled, eyes watching her very closely. "Increasingly so, thank you. I had no idea you were the hostess. I believe thanks are in order in that case."

He might notice that she takes only the smallest sip of her wine despite how wine it might be, more intent on watching him in return. "I assume that is because you have enjoyed the event, yes?"
