So many days into summer and not a single pool party yet! Today castle residents may hear some noise wafting from the lawn and pool along with that distinct smell of the barbecue roaring. Oh yeaaah, Barney Stinson's got you covered, Paradisa!

The lawn area has been decked out all in colors, with the grills to one side and the chocolate fountain to another. For those more inclined to chill out and soak up the sun, there are picnic rugs rolled out on the green grass among any kind of game you could wish for. The pool itself has a few floating beds thrown in and all sorts of toys, with a changing tent set up just nearby for anyone who decides they want to get wet and wild after all!

All the fun is for forgetting recent horrors the residents have been through. So once the sun goes down, there will be a time to write down all unpleasantness, and set it to fire. But be careful not to stay out too late; the Castle may have a different idea of Cinderella once midnight strikes.

"Well, y-yeah!" Chie smiled anxiously, sitting on the chair right next to Bond. "What kind of fighting do you do, uh. Sir?"

Why was she sitting down? Why? What had he done to deserve this?! Ugh it'd be too rude to just leave and, well, she was pretty cute if a little young for his taste. He could put up with it for now.

He shifted slightly to look her over before replying, "Whatever suits the situation. What sort of fighting styles are you interested in?"

"Eh-heh... I'm really into kung-fu. I train myself in it, but I mostly just watch" A nervous laugh.

["Yyyeeaaah, I should just go dive in the pool and let myself drown..."]

He lifted one eyebrow. Well now. This conversation might have just gotten interesting, "You train yourself? Have you had no formal training?"

"No. Joining martial arts clubs were expensive back home, and there was none in the town I lived in. I would have to take the train to the closest city to go there" Chie shrugged and turned her attention to everyone else at the party. She had a warm smile on her face and seemed to stop feeling awkward.

"I train mostly train myself to be stronger and be able to protect the people in here! Kate taught me how to shoot a gun, though. But I'm too scared to shoot it by myself, and it feels weird shooting guns when I'm still 17"

Martial arts clubs and taking the train... There aren't many countries that would refer to them as 'clubs,' and few of those where trains are a primary form of transportation. That combined with her shyness and the fact that a girl her age called him 'sir' helped him piece together where she's likely from.

"Where in Japan did you live?"

He paused, tilting his head slightly. "Kate? Are you referring to Kate Beckett? She's an excellent shot." He nodded, thinking for a moment. He wasn't normally one to strike up conversations with barely legal girls who started out checking him out but if she wanted to learn how to fight... well he couldn't very well begrudge her that, now, could he?

"There's no age limit to learning how to use a firearm but it's not for everyone. Keep that in mind."

"I lived in a small town called Inaba, its hours away from the big city!" Chie smiled proudly. She loves that little hicksville she call home.

"Yup. I want to be a police officer someday like her. So she's teaching me to become one. I'm still in high school, so I'm getting classes in advanced from her... But it's still weird learning to use guns at my age. Guns are very hard to find in my country."
