Who: Martel Yggdrasill and you!
What: Nightmares!
When: Today
Where: In Martel's nightmares
Rating: T to R for death and blood and general horror stuff.
[Martel was asleep in her bed when the toxin came, and she fell from her dreamless state of sleep to something much, much worse.
When you arrive in her dreamscape at first it seems empty, just blackness that seems to never end. It’s cold, and empty, and it’s almost like you’re trapped there, with nothing. Only when you take a step, does the blackness start to resolve into colors and pictures. A nightmare starts to take form, and you can’t escape until it plays out.
What’s your worst fear?]

DEATH
[But behind her? There’s a shadow, a man, more menacing than a normal man should be, with a long, wicked sword. He’s sneaking up on her, and he’s going to kill her. You can try to save her, but you’ll just stand there, helpless as he advances.]

That worry starts to bubble into panic when he turns his head; Martel doesn't see. She doesn't notice, she's so focused on saving that tree. That man, he's coming closer, and closer, and Martel doesn't know. He's getting too close, and Tsuna's literally screaming-- trying to scream-- but his throat feels like it's filled with cotton.
Where is his power? Even if he doesn't have his hyper dying will mode, if only he could just reach over and grab his dagger; but his arms won't respond, either.
He can't do anything but watch.]

Tsuna probably finds he can move now that he's watched her get stabbed.]

Martel!
[He runs over, thoughts racing, time seeming to slow. He couldn't do anything. Nothing. Not even warn her. He just watched, soundlessly, as the man stabbed her, blade going clean through her torso, out the other side.
Once he gets to her, he drops to his knees, reaching out to turn her over.
Oh my god. That is a lot of blood. She is losing so much blood, too fast, and he can't do anything.
He already feels tears pricking at his eyes as he whips his head up to yell.]
Someone! We need a healer, right now!
[Some part of his mind knows there's no one around. He bundles some of the loose cloth from her dress, pressing it against her wound. If only he'd at least said something.]

Ma'am! Behind you! [His legs aren't working though. Steve glances down at them in frustration before shouting again.] Run!

Hang on, ma'am. [He presses his hand against the wound to slow down the bleeding and hopefully buy her some precious time.] Help! We need some help over here!

She lets out a scream as he runs her through, and pulls it out, letting her collapse in a heap to the ground, holding her wound. And then he just disappears like he was never there, the bloodied sword dropping to the grass by her side.]

The shadow doesn't seem to find his attempted barrier to be much of a deterrent, it seems, and Duke finds himself frozen with something he can't describe. ]

GUILT TIME
This is your fault. You shouldn’t have died, and therefore the world wouldn’t be dead! Nobody would be dead!
It’s all your fault those girls died for you. Their lives were miserable because of you!
You could have done more, you could have healed the tree, and nobody would have to suffer.
You’re a weak person, and because of that all this happened.
[Things like that. Are you going to take that and agree with them? Or are you going to try to refute them?]

[He crosses his arms, but for now he remains silent]

You agree with us, don't you? Your life was ruined because of her. You say you don't blame her, but you do. Somehow, in some way.

Stop it...
[and then she snaps out of that surprise that was rooting her to the spot. She hurries forward, standing to the side of the mob. She attempts to draw their attention by calling desperately]
Please stop!

SOULESS/EVIL CRYSTAL DISEASE
Even worse it seems like there’s something…growing on your shoulder. Something painful. If you choose to look, it’s hard crystal scales that are green and ugly, creeping slowly down your arm. Soon, it will take over your body entirely and you’ll be crystal. It will be slow, and agonizingly painful. And there’s nothing you can do about it.
You might not be entirely alone though. Martel's probably there somewhere...if you can find her.]

...But what could possibly even leave something like that in a bite?]
Uh, hello? Anyone here, because I'm pretty sure this is infected and I don't have dying on my agenda right now.
