"Mmm, mine to command. Sounds so pretty." She floated over to him, nose wrinkling at the music selections.

"Where'd you get the notebook? And what are you keeping track of?"

"Within reason. Don't forget that part." He was almost afraid she might. What? His taste in music was excellent, refined and cultured.

A contrite frown. "I... wished for it. But only because it was absolutely necessary. I no longer have access to my databanks and memory files. I need to do something else to make sure I don't forget anything."

She sat up quickly, splashing as she did, eyes wide as she turned to him. "You wished for it? What did I tell you about that? You could get hurt, you... you... boobhead!" She slapped his shoulder, glaring at him now.

Ow. He mouthed the word silently, looking at her with a hurt expression on his face.

"I can't rely on you for everything until I find a job and get money of my own, Kenzi. I needed a notebook and pen. It was one small thing. No one came to any harm. Don't worry so much. It won't happen again."

She moved into him, finger pointed up at him with a narrow-eyed glare. "Don't. Wish. For. Anything. Else."

Her voice was firm and bitten off, fear mingled with anger and concern lacing her words. "I'm serious. You don't need anything that much. And you can damnwell suck it up and just... agh!"

He couldn't take his eyes off of hers. She was so. Intense. He found himself agreeing without even thinking about it.

"I won't. I promise." Maybe.

He wanted to scramble away from her, up and out of the pool. "My memory. I forget things now. I don't like forgetting things. It worries me. The notebook is only to keep track, that's all."

Her finger poked his chest, and she gave him one last glare. "Make sure you keep that." She didn't want him winding up messed up like she'd heard could happen to some of the inhabitants. He was her responsibility now, and damned if she'd let him bungle himself into something he couldn't get out of.

"No more, Kitt. I'm serious." She lowered back into the water, drifting over to the edge of the pool and settling herself in one of the shallow seats.

"Ow." He'd already said that. Didn't matter, he was saying it again. He would have just liked to point out that he really wasn't her responsibility, he could take care of himself, but fortunately he didn't know what she was thinking. Or that she could probably hand him his ass if she wanted to.

He nodded again, letting it sink in. If she was this worried, there was probably a good reason for it, even if he didn't quite buy the tale of doom and gloom she was selling.

He watched her go off again, deciding to stay right where he was.

Arms spread along the sides of the pool, she tipped her head back and tried to relax again, pushing the small anger away and trying to enjoy the rest of the evening. "Did you do anything else today?"

Her legs drifted out, toes peeking through the water as she wiggled them.

He was keeping an eye on her through half-closed eyes, letting the feel of the water wash over him.

"Not much. I tidied the room. Wrote down my thoughts on what's been happening to me since my arrival. Considered using the journals to find others who might be looking for a way out of here. Fell asleep on the couch." The usual. She had cute toes.

"Lazy today, hmm? And you don't even have the excuse of being shitfaced last night. Tsk, tsk, Kittikins." She was enjoying the atmosphere. Aside from the whole being kidnapped thing, this was probably the most relaxing she'd been able to get in... well, in a long while. Over two years she'd known Bo, and her life hadn't exactly been a picnic before then.

"No, but I was kept rather busy, if I recall." So demanding, this one!

He could honestly say the same thing. Michael was always complaining about their lack of free time, about being constantly on the road, moving from town to town. Kitt didn't have the same issues with physical exhaustion that Michael had, but his mental exhaustion was just as real. Being here was almost like a vacation. Minus the kidnapping aspects. And his being transformed into a human.

"Oh, pff. You want busy, I'll make you do a full-body one tonight." Before she changed out of her bikini. Smirk.

Anger gone by now, she looked over and watched him, seeing how he was taking all of this, remembering how he'd freaked out the first night.

"Good thing I had that nap." Zing. But a lazy zing. This was nice. The springs. The company. He hadn't moved much since he'd gotten into the pool, but he couldn't see any need to. The water was as nice here as anywhere else.

Other than the fact that she was on the side opposite from him.

"Good thing. Good thing I have oil, too." She smirked over at him, flicking a drop of water with her finger.

"You know, I think I have a journal stalker," she mused, toes still peeping through the water.

"Sounds messy." If she insisted... He opened up one eye, staring over at her. "Oh?" Nothing to be alarmed about - yet.

"Mm, god, no. Just means you can rub into the muscles with less friction and it feels good."

She shrugged. "No idea. I haven't met him yet. But he seems to know everything I've said over the network; including you living with me."

"I'll take your word for it. I don't mind the idea of less work." He stretched, cracking his neck and back. "I'm still sore from last night."

That got more of his attention, enough to make him open his eyes fully, but not enough to prickle any hairs on his neck. "Anyone who bothers to check their journals could figure that out, Kenzi."

"C'mere," she said, lifting her hand and waving him over.

"True enough. I just didn't know anyone was interested in my goings on to pay it any attention."

He eyed her suspiciously. "You're not going to dunk my head under the water or something when I get over there, are you?"

He waded through the water towards her carefully, the displacement making him slow and clumsy, enough so that he kept his eyes cast down towards his feet, even as he spoke.

"New people always attract the attention of the curious." Now that he knew about it, he'd stay aware of it. But he wasn't going to go looking for trouble just yet. He had her back, whatever the case.

He was more worried than he was letting on, but there was no use in worrying her, too.

"No," she says, reaching for his arm and tugging him over. She pulled him down, maneuvering him until he was sitting in front of her between her legs. Her hands began to knead lightly at his shoulders. "Can't have you breaking before I get all I can out of you, hmm?"

Her hands moved over him carefully, not sure about what he liked and didn't yet, figuring it as she went. "True enough. Especially in a place like this. Reminds me of jail, and we're the fresh fish."

Oh. Oh now that was nice. He was just going to close his eyes again and breathe, the better to focus on what she was doing. A moan or two under his breath when she loosened a particularly knotted muscle in his shoulder, all that he could give her by way of response. She'd have him eating out of her hand at this rate. No wonder she liked it so well. If he'd known a neck massage could be so good, he'd have tried harder to win the bet.

"Mmmhmm. Exactly. That. Yes. Right there."

She grinned where he couldn't see it, moving her hands further down the edge of his spine, rubbing slowly with her thumbs. "Think you'll feel good enough for a full body one tonight?"

He'd rather be the one on the receiving end, but he'd make do. "Just make sure you have the oil."
