IT'S A BABY-BONANZA!

Good morning, residents! Did you sleep well? You're going to need all the energy you can muster because congratulations: You're parents! Again! The Paradisa Stork has paid some very lucky residents a visit last night, and even moved them to a more kid-friendly environment.

Some of you may already recognize your little bundle of joy and--my, how they've grown! Others will have to get acquainted with their little rugrats. You may not know them, but they certainly know you. By they way? They're bored. And hungry! And they want all the attention you could possibly give them.

It's going to be a long week.

I will be. [He can tell the events of the EH have taken their toll on his mind and it might be another month or so until he really starts to recover. For now, he's fully functional which is a big step up. ]

[She really wants to at least partially blame today on residual EH stress. Maybe she'd have been calmer, and maybe he wouldn't have pulled the Lucrezia card.

She leans against his shoulder, watching Jack.]

Let me know if there's anything I can do.

[In Tim's defense, in the past month Tim has been trapped under a building, headed a recovery effort, been without his lady, lost his mind, beaten up, and shoved inside of a closet. That wasn't even the first earthquake he has been through. Worst month ever. ]

Just be patient with me. I'll work the rest out.

I have the patience of a saint, on most days. [Maybe not today, but even so she's already thinking of things she can do for him. They still haven't gotten around to their silly anniversary--by the time they do it'll already be the next month's anniversary, probably.

Maybe she'll take the reins and surprise him.]

You do. Sometimes I forget how long you've been here. I've almost been here for six months, which means you have almost been here for three and a half years. That's a long time.

[Life here is so much different than life in Gotham. Paradisa doesn't really need the Batfamily. There is very little crime. Powers and skills only mean so much when they can be taken away at any moment. They need people like Alvin Draper who want to help with the recovery effort. Who will comfort people after the fact.

Again, he knows this logically, but fully processing it is something else all together. ]

You've had a rough six months, even by Paradisa standards.

[She crawls behind him to wrap her arms around him in a hug, chin on his shoulder. Sometimes hugs like this just feel better.

Poor Tim, always with the bad luck.]

I know it's been really hard for you to adjust, but you've been trying. I see that.

Also, I'll take it as a compliment that you forget how long I've been here sometimes. Means I'm still me and not totally castle-crazy.

[Steph is right, this is a nice hug. Leans back into her and holds his arms out to Jack, who wants to join in on the hug fest. This is a lot better than the tension from earlier. ]

You remind me more of you here. What I mean is you're more like Stephanie Brown and less like Batgirl. Sometimes I feel more like Tim Drake than Red Robin, but the instincts are all still here.

Is that good or bad?

Mostly good. We probably wouldn't argue as much if you were more like Batgirl. Then again, you and I have always seen certain things differently. The same with Cass and I.

[Tilts his head, looking at her with a playful smile. ] There's a reason why the two of you were never Titans. I probably would have driven the two of you crazy.

[The Titans have always turned to Tim for leadership and they actually want him to call the shots and be the one with the plan. Not so much with Cass and Steph. ]

You think, hmm?

I can only theorize since it never happened.

As much as I have a thing for masked heroes, Tim Drake isn't too much of a step down.

[dorkwonder]

Tim Drake has also been thinking about masked heroes since he was a child and how important Batman and Robin are.

I guess we have something in common.

[dorkwonder]

We do. We're both part of the same legacy. [Studies Jack, wondering if he'd grow up to be a Robin or a masked vigilante of some sort like them.]

[secondchances]

We are. [She's doing her best to not think about what her kid would grow up to be.]

When I was little, though... I loved Superman more than anything. Don't tell anyone, shh.

[dorkwonder]

That explains the poster. [Sorry, Steph. You are never living that poster down, ever.]

[Forgets any unpleasantness to pinch his ear.]

Jealous I didn't have a Robin poster?

[dorkwonder]

Ow. [The ear is a sensitive spot!]

Not as jealous as you might think.

[Grins a little to himself. Back then, he got smooches from Cissie and Steph!]

Wow, don't sound too smug now.

[Turns his head so he can place a kiss on her temple.]

I'd rather be here with you, than a poster on your wall.

Ah, it's a love song. [Finally laughs a little. :') ]

I wish we could be Batgirl and Red Robin more often, though. During the expedition, fighting... that felt right and natural. We should plan our own.

... not that I want to run into weird bug monsters, but you know what I mean.

I'd like that. There's a lot I'd like to see and experience for myself. [Second hand knowledge isn't the same. At all.]

We can do a short expedition. Head out for a few days, in a different direction than the one the group went on.
