He snatched the Speedos out of her hand quickly, balling them up and tossing them over his shoulder. "Never in a million years." Not funny, castle. Not funny at all. He may have to get used to having her swatting at him and being all touchy-feely, but that didn't mean he had to show off for her. Not like this. Never like this. His comment was made through gritted teeth, directed at the ceiling.

"Try. Again."

Then he went and rejoined her on the couch. "Towel boy. Your bathing suit is more appropriate, I hope."

She snorted at that, reaching for her coffee. "Mine probably has less material all together than yours." She gave him a smirk as she sipped her coffee, brows raised in challenge. "Unless that's just too much 'eww' for you to handle..."

"It's more acceptable on women. I'm sure it will be fine. I've seen my share of bikini-clad young ladies in my time." He could rise to her challenge.

"Well, then I'm sure my boring old bikinis won't bother you in the slightest. Maybe I'll go put one on now, so I have it on when I want to go to the springs."

"Be my guest." Why should it bother him? He'd had such ladies use him as a prop for their model shoots. Why should this be any different? "You know where to find me." He'd just be there, sipping his coffee.

Giving him a look, she got up from the couch and stomped over to her drawers, reaching in and grabbing a suit, then flounced off into the bathroom, chin high.

She changed quickly, taking the time to brush out her hair and wind it up in a high ponytail, then, as nonchalantly as possible, she opened the door and came out, moving over to the table to grab her mug, taking it over to get another coffee, pointedly not looking at him. She was wearing a camo micro-bikini, one that showed her naval piercing. Put that in your muffler and smoke it, carface.

His muffler was smoking, all right. Too much. She may not have been looking at him, but he couldn't seem to tear his eyes away from her, for all that he was trying to. It was ridiculous, really. He'd seen plenty of women in bikinis; she was no different from any of them.

He would just keep telling himself that. If he tried hard enough, he might even manage to convince himself of it. He shifted his position on the couch, folding his arms, making an effort to finish his coffee. That would work. That would distract him. Using the mug as a shield, he dug the nails of his good hand into the bruised knuckles of his injured hand. The pain was enough to snap him out of his daze.

"Very nice. I'm sure you'll get a lot of attention."

She beamed where he couldn't see it, full of smug satisfaction in how long it took him to respond. Hah.

Turning with her coffee, she propped her arm up on the table, hip cocked out as she took a sip, eyeing him over the top of the mug. "You think? Maybe we will have to set up rules for 'what if'." Only not, because creepy castle occupants weren't on her list of bed buddies.

It only took him that long because. Well. Because. He had his reasons. Perfectly awful, horrible reasons.

His jaw was working, but nothing was making it out of his mouth. After what seemed an eternity of bobbing his head and gawping, he remembered how to form words.

"Fine. I'll abide by any you decide to make for yourself."

Sipping her coffee, she rolled her eyes as she moved back to the couch, stretching out with her feet in his lap. "You know, you really have to stop being so gullible, Kittarino. I'm not bringing anyone back here. I told you that last night."

Oh, Kenzi. That was not a good idea at the moment. Not a good idea at all. Well, maybe for her. Not for him. The coffee was getting cold. He'd need another mug. He'd have to get up and make one, which meant he'd have to move her feet. It sounded like an excellent idea.

"Tell me again after you've been to the hot springs."

"After we've been," she grinned, nudging him with her feet. "I intend to make you a hedonistic boy, enjoying the small things in life that you seem to put your nose up at."

It was his turn to swat at her, making her move her feet off the couch so he could sit down again when he came back with his fresh coffee. She earned a snort of derision from him as he did so.

"Good luck with that. I enjoy plenty of small things. I've already told you about some of the things I enjoy. It doesn't hurt to have some culture, Kenzi."

Her feet went back in his lap, and she stuck her tongue out at him. "You enjoy things that aren't sensory. We have to give you some overdrive. Pamper you a bit. Let you get the good side of the human schtick."

"I enjoy plenty of things that are sensory. Racing flat out at full throttle down a straightaway, for example. Breathtaking, even for an AI. A glorious sunset over the desert, with the stars first peeking through. Baiting Michael. All very sensory. Perhaps not tactile, but sensory." Smug. He has it. Who needed to be human to enjoy life? Pampering, bah.

One hand was on her mug, the other moved down and began to distractedly play with her piercing. "Well, there's that, yeah. But there's a whole whackload of people stuff that you haven't even touched on yet."

His eyes strayed to follow her hand, then he very pointedly made the decision to keep his eyes on her face, instead. Almost as distracting, but more manageable.

"I'm sure there are many things that not every human has done, either."

"There are lots of things that most people do, Kitt-Katt. And you're going to do them."

"I'm sure I will, all in good time. This is the first time I've had coffee, for instance." He took another drink for emphasis, looking over the top of his mug at her.

"And what do you think of it?"

"Not nearly as good as the hype. But not distasteful, either." He'd be drinking more, if that better answered her question.

"Good. Because I'm a coffeeaholic, so I'll be showing you how to make it for the next two weeks." Beaming, she nudged him with her foot again, then moved to get up.

She went over to her dresser again, pulling out a pair of pants and wriggling into them. "But, for now, I need eats and to talk to Wes."

"Ah. Another one of my 'duties'. I'll add it to the list." He'd have to carry a notebook at this rate.

He watched her as she walked away, telling himself he was simply admiring a particularly pleasing specimen of the human form. She kept herself in good condition. It was normal to admire that in a human. He also told himself that he wasn't disappointed when she slipped into a pair of pants. He was becoming rather good at lying to himself.

... Wes probably wasn't a woman. Yet another thing that was fine with him.

She pulled out a shirt and tugged it on, grabbing a pair of socks and heading over to her bed to sit and put them on. "You catch on quick, poutylips. Why don't you met me at the springs around seven? And you'd better bring something to swim in..."

"If I don't find anything better to do, perhaps I will. But I won't be swimming." He really was going to need that notebook, and a pen, too.
