"That depends. I like mine with milk and sugar, but we don't have a fridge, so I make do with whitener. It can be kinda harsh without it." She turned to look over at him, then leaned against him, still somewhat sleepy. "Are you sore from couch crashing?"

"I'll follow your lead on this one. I don't have a preference." She was becoming very 'touchy' towards him. It left him confused, wondering what it was all about. Maybe she was just still tired, too. She looked like she might be. He didn't mind; it was a welcome change.

"No. The couch is rather comfortable. I'm sore from all that rubbing."

"..."

She drew back, looking up at him with wide eyes for a moment. "You're not supposed to rub it raw, Ki--," then, of course, it clues in what he meant.

"Oh... Well. Um. You just need to build up some muscle." A slight blush now, thanks, carface.

He frowned. It was becoming a habit. The frowning, that is. "I'm sure you'll give me a lot of opportunity to practice."

She bites back a laugh, barely containing the snort as she pulls out two mugs, fixing them with sugar and whitener as she waited for the coffee to finish brewing. "Well, I get two weeks of your magic hands. After that, I'm going to have to either win another bet or do some very enthusiastic begging."

"I didn't, did I? Rub you raw?" He was suddenly worried that he might have been too rough with her. "I'll be more gentle the next time." He held up his hands, wiggling his fingers. "Like I said. Lots of practice. No begging necessary."

The blush flared, and she cleared her throat as she shook her head, eyes staying on the mugs. "Nope. That's... uh... No. You didn't. I'm good. More than good. Great. I'm great. Anytime you want to practice..."

And it was so hard to actually talk about massaging now without picturing something else.

Now why was she blushing? He'd never understand humans. "Is the coffee ready? And I think the practicing is up to you, Kenzi. You won the wager."

"Well, I mean, for now, yeah. Your hands are mine for two weeks, bub." She shoved all mental images of the pervy kind down and pulled the carafe out, filling both mugs. Stirring them, she looked over at him.

"What're you planning on doing today, slave?"

"I am yours to command." Strangely enough, the thought was sort of comforting. Familiar. He had always been told what to do by humans; this wasn't any different. For the next two weeks, he had a purpose again.

"Do?" His eyebrows crept into his hairline. That was different. Free time was a luxury in his life. "I have... no idea. I could... clean the room?"

Well, she wasn't going to say no to that. She handed him his coffee, taking a happy sip of hers. "That's not going to take you all day, though."

She went over to the couch, curling up with her mug.

He took a careful sip, making a bit of a face at first, then trying it again to be sure. It wasn't so bad the second time around. Bitter, a bit acidic, but rounded out to mellow smoothness with a touch of sweet at the end. Not as promising as the aroma, but he could see why humans liked it. He followed her to the couch like a puppy wanting to please its new master.

"Not all day, no." And since his side of the room was meticulous, even less time than that. "What about you? What are your plans?"

"I hadn't thought about it yet. Might go talk to Wesmeister about getting a... job." Her face darkened at the thought, and she buried her nose in her mug. Working like a blue collar stiff? Not exactly her idea of how best to spend her time.

"Oh." She knew more people here than he did. He'd have to get out more. He couldn't rely on her for everything. "I should probably do something like that too. I need to find something I could be good at."

She didn't know that many more people, Kittikins. "You could. Ooh, I think I might go down to the hot springs later. Nothing says lovin' like hot massagy water."

Maybe he just needed to meet some who could steer him in the direction of a job. "I didn't know there were hot springs. Wouldn't a bath do just as well?"

"Nah. You can only soak in a bath. Some hot springs have, like... bubbly bits. Besides, if you go in the springs, you'll see the difference. You should come. I might need someone to bring my towel," she teased, nudging her foot out at him.

He nodded. "Natural minerals dissolved into the water. That would make a difference. The natural setting would also provide a refreshing change of pace. Do you have a bathing suit?" He didn't have any swimsuits, but he'd obligingly carry her towel along for her.

"Thanks to Fred, yeah. Let me borrow some moolah," she smiled, sipping her coffee.

"You can totally rock your manties, though." Snicker.

Fred again. "That was very nice of Fred to do that for you." He smiled back, faking it.

"I don't. Know. What those are." Frown.

"Fred's a total doll." She rested her head on the back of the couch, poking his toe with hers.

"Manties. Man-panties. Boxers, briefs, boxer-briefs. Whatever it is you got going on down there."

He was sure they'd be very happy together. Hence his offer of the night before. It still stood, even if she was convinced she wouldn't need it. "I'm glad."

"Oh." And just how did she know that he could rock his? He didn't even want to think about it. He couldn't help the surreptitious glance he cast down at himself, feeling suddenly self-conscious. "Is there a particular type that is appropriate? Fashionable?" He'd hate to think he was out of style. His ego, such that it was, wouldn't allow it.

"You're glad? Why're you glad? You feel like meeting dolls or something?"

She caught that glance, and she hid the smirk. "No, not really. I mean, I don't think you should rock a thong in public, not that you couldn't, but... you know, maybe boxers or something that covers all your pertinent man-bits."

"I'm happy you found someone you hit it off with." That was all. Perfectly polite. He took another sip of his coffee, managing to come up with a smile.

"Maybe I should stick to carrying your towel."

"Me too," she agreed, taking another sip. "Fred's been great. Lending me money, giving me free booze and food. Letting me know about the brain-sucking wishes. You'd probably like her."

She rolled her eyes. "Oh, shush. If you're carrying my towel, you're totally bringing your own, too."
